Confession: i'm a grown adult and only JUST had my first facial in 2022...
although i'm fairly new to this beautiful world of adult-level skincare, i can confidently say that i have found the best esthetician ever. i've been getting facials from her for several months now and i'm here to recommend her with 5++ stars while sharing my experience with you guys!
my first facial was in the beginning of 2022 and it was great. i definitely understood the benefit of having them done- my skin was super smooth, it felt so healthy and soft afterwards! i was extremely happy and planned to go back! UNTIL... i visited The Spa Room in Belle Meade <insert heart eye emojis here>
y'all, my first facial at The Spa Room was nothing short of magical and i left feeling like i was floating on a cloud! here's why:
F I R S T ,
the location itself is so cool! it isn't located inside of a salon, it's actually a private studio which I LOVE. i didn't have to deal with a front desk, waiting area, other guests or the busy hustle of a crowded place. i walked into the building where there are other private studios, found my destination and that was it!
N E X T ,
Emma is the owner and esthetician- i literally can't say enough amazing things about her! she's so super friendly, kind and welcoming! she has also taught me so much about my skin by letting me ask questions and giving me amazing recommendations for my routine at home. when i walked in for my first appointment, it felt like i was greeting an old friend! being new to this whole world, it really helped set the tone and made me feel so comfortable.

The Spa Room is soooooooo cute and cozy! it feels super clean, the colors in the room are calming and the music is on point! my first facial felt very medical- the walls were a boring light color, there was some okay artwork on the wall and there wasn't much personality. let me tell you- The Spa Room is a VIBE. i honestly had no idea this would be an important element for me but it legit changed the whole experience for me! (i lowkey want to decorate a calming area in my house the same exact way because its so nice lol)
L A S T B U T N O T L E A S T ,
the product and the facial itself- SO GOOD. i've never been one to splurge on skincare products but i'm literally saving up some money to buy the best she has in stock because this product feels so good on my skin! it's not just me, either! i've recommended a few friends here as well- they said the same thing! it just feels refreshing and light/breathable- not heavy and thick. i'm dying to get my hands on it to use it in between appointments!
but good product is nothing without good technique, right?! Emma is so great at what she does! she is attentive, she takes her time... i actually have major issues in my neck and shoulder and i've been to chiropractors, physical therapy... nothing helps with the pain in my neck and shoulder more than this facial! it sounds crazy but i think it really just gets the circulation going and with the massage that she does, it helps me tremendously!
another exciting thing i've noticed is that i don't leave looking like i just spent 3 days in the sun with no spf (lol). i did notice that after my first facial, i was super red and if you passed me on the street, you might have looked twice because my skin looked a little irritated (albeit smooth!). when i leave The Spa Room, my skin not only feels better than ever but it looks amazing too! i feel fine to go grocery shopping or do whatever i need to do on my way home!
